From Scranton/State College - points Northeast
Take I-80 West to Milesburg Exit 23, then 220 South (which turns to I-99) at Tyrone. Follow I-99 to Altoona (pass all Altoona exits) then take (Ebensburg) Route 22 West. Past Ebensburg, take Route 219 South to Johnstown, then take the Route 56 Bypass. Follow bypass approximately 6 miles until you come to a traffic light. (Stay in right hand lane). Counting this light as (1) go through 2nd light, then make a gentle right turn (not a sharp right) at 3rd light which is Johns Street (Towne Manor Motel on right). Go one block and make a right (at Suppes Ford) onto Main Street. Library is at the end of the second block on your right. Enter the free parking lot by turning right at the library sign into the alley before the library (immediately past Walnut Medical). If you miss the alley turn right at the Walnut Street light, turn right at the first alley, and go down the alley to the parking lot on the right. If the lot is full there is also a pay parking garage at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Street.
From Pittsburgh and points West
Take Route 22 East to Route 56 East to Johnstown. Continue following 56 through the west end of Johnstown for approximately three miles. 56 East merges with 403 South at Broad Street. Broad Street makes a sweeping curve to the right and travels beside a river on the left. Get into the left lane after this curve. In less than 1/2 mile, look for Point Stadium ahead on the left. Turn left at the light just before the stadium onto Washington St. At next stop light ( Johns Street at the corner of Point Stadium) make a right, go one block, make a left onto Main Street (at Suppes Ford). The Library is at the end of the second block on your right. Enter the free parking lot by turning right at the library sign into the alley before the library (immediately past Walnut Medical). If you miss the alley turn right at the Walnut Street light, turn right at the first alley, and go down the alley to the parking lot on the right.
Alternate directions if you miss Route 56 East
Route 22 East to Route 403 South just past Armagh. Follow 403 South through west end of Johnstown (Cooper Avenue), flow right over bridge across Conemaugh River to a traffic light, staying in left lane. Make the left turn, continue following 403 South (Broad Street) for approximately three miles, see Point Stadium on left (Washington St.) Make a left at light (Washington St.) At next stop light ( Johns Street at the corner of Point Stadium) make a right, go one block, make a left onto Main Street (at Suppes Ford). Library is at the end of the second block on your right. Enter the free parking lot by turning right at the library sign into the alley before the library (immediately past Walnut Medical). If you miss the alley turn right at the Walnut Street light, turn right at the first alley, and go down the alley to the parking lot on the right. Take I-70 to New Stanton. Continue straight past the turnpike interchange to US Route 119 North. Follow 119 North for approximately 5 miles through Youngwood to the intersection with US Route 30 Bypass East around Greensburg. Turn left onto the US-30 bypass ramp and merge with traffic. Stay on the bypass for 2 miles until it merges with US 30 and passes the Westmoreland Mall. Continue on US 30 for 15 miles. At Ligonier turn left on PA 711/Main Street. Go halfway around the circle in Ligonier and continue north on 711 for 1 1/2 miles, then turn right on PA 271. Stay on 271 for 18 miles to Westmont. Continue on 271 through Westmont past Grandview Cemetery on the left. After the cemetery go down a hill, through 1 traffic light and turn right at the 2nd light onto Haynes. Go one block and turn left at the light onto Napoleon. Go to the 3rd light and make an easy right onto the 56 Bypass, go to the 2nd light and make an easy right onto Johns Street. Go one block, make a right onto Main Street (at Suppes Ford). Library is at the end of the second block on your right. Enter the free parking lot by turning right at the library sign into the alley before the library (immediately past Walnut Medical). If you miss the alley turn right at the Walnut Street light, turn right at the first alley, and go down the alley to the parking lot on the right. If the lot is full there is also a pay parking garage at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Street.
From Somerset and points South
Take Route 219 North to the Johnstown Route 56 Bypass. Take the Route 56 bypass approximately 6 miles, until you come to a traffic light (stay in right hand lane). Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 11 at Bedford. From Bedford - Route 220 North to Route 56 West. After about 30-40 minutes you will come to the suburbs of Johnstown (red lights, restaurants, etc.) Watch for University Plaza and a RAX on your right and take Route 219 North/Business 56 for approximately two miles until you come to the Johnstown (Route 56 west) bypass. Take the Route 56 bypass approximately 6 miles, until you come to a traffic light (stay in right hand lane).
