The Grand Bike Road-eo June 23, 2003
As part of Lilly-Washington Public Library's Summer Reading Program children were invited to participate in a Bike Road-eo. More than 30 children brought their bikes and helmets and learned basic bike safety. Don Drass, from the Cambria-Allegheny Regional Highway Safety Network, demonstrated hand traffic signals and showed how to make sure a helmet fits properly. The kids then rode their bikes on both a straight line course and an in-and-out weave course while Don gave them suggestions on bike handling and safety.
