You need to download the software necessary to access these books. This needs to be done only once on each computer. For audio, you need Overdrive Media Console. For e-Books, you need Adobe Digital Editions. Click on these two items beneath the Downloadable Audio and e-Book icon (in blue) and the software will begin to download. Follow the instructions on the screen.
With Adobe Digital Editions you have to obtain an Adobe account. You will be prompted during the download process to set up this account. Once you have downloaded the software you are ready to start enjoying your books.
Click on the Downloadable Audio and e-Books icon on the Library’s home page. This will open up the downloadable catalog. The menu along the left side of the screen allows you to look for books by genre or by the type of file you need; either audio or readable.

This will bring up a Log In page. Select the library name from which your library card was issued from the pull-down menu. Then enter the bar code from the back of your library card. When this is completed, click on Confirm the Checkout.
From this point, you can transfer it to your listening or reading device.
If you are transferring it to a reading device, click on Download under the image of the book, the program will ask you to open or save the book. You need to Open it. It will then appear on your Adobe Digital Editions library page. This page will open automatically.
Click on the title of the book and drag the title to the name of your device in the left column of your library page. This will put the book onto your device.

At the end of the loan period, titles will expire and be automatically returned to the library. At this time, you can delete the expired files from your computer. There are no late fees. Audio books may not be returned early but e-Books can be returned early.
An e-Book can be returned before the due date. Open your Adobe Library page and click on the title and then click on Return. You can then download another title.
