Inclined to Read Used Bookstore

Our bookstore is open all library operating hours! Select your items for purchase and then visit the library circulation desk to make your purchase.

Our store is located within the library lobby and staffed by members of the FOCCL. You’ll find a wide variety of gently used books (including some collectors’ items) in hardback and paperback, DVDs, CDs, audio books and other assorted items. Donations of items in good to excellent condition are welcome and accepted by appointment only. To schedule a time to drop off your items, please call (814) 536-5131 x220. We also welcome FOCCL members to help with sorting or shelving. Join us in April when the store displays theme filled baskets and sells raffle tickets for each. Winning tickets are drawn at Night Music@ the Library (no need to be present to win). In December we feature holiday books and CDs, and our crafty members donate their pieces to sell. For any questions, please call 536-5131 x220.

Basket Raffle

FOCCL hosts a popular basket raffle in support ofNight Music @ the Library, held the last Friday in April. Members assemble a variety of theme baskets featuring items donated from local businesses and individuals. If you would like to donate a basket, please contact the bookstore manager at the Inclined to Read bookstore.

Fundraising Activities

Monies raised through book sales, fundraisers, memberships and donations support many projects and purchases for the Cambria County Library. These include contributions to the summer reading programs; shelving and displays; furniture upgrades; equipment such as a microfilm reader/printer; items for the children’s department; renovations to the community room and restrooms; exterior building improvements; and the library’s participation in seasonal events in the community. We also continue to help with funding for book purchases for the library on an on-going basis.

Amazon Smile

When you purchase through AmazonSmile, please select Friends of Cambria County Library. Amazon will send a portion of your purchase to FOCCL.

Newsletter
To raise community awareness, we publish a newsletter twice a year with information about upcoming events and fundraising efforts, in addition to highlighting library programs, services, and resources. Copies are distributed to our members and occasionally to community groups.
