Kids Programming

LEGO Club

Come with your imagination ready and join our group in building with LEGOS! Kids can express their creativity, while developing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills through play.

This program takes place the on the third Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Come anytime during the hour! It is recommended for children ages 6-12 years old. Call the Children’s Department to sign up.

Creative Club

Join us for a club all about letting your creativity shine! There will be a different project each month. This program is designed for 3rd-6th graders and takes place the third Thursday of each month. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. STEAM Club

This club will inspire future innovators by exploring science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) through games, experiments, robots and more! It is recommended for children ages 4-8 years old and takes place the last Friday and/or Saturday of the month. Call the Children’s Department at (814) 536-5131 ext. 205 or stop in to sign up.

Tales with Tails

Help your child build confidence and enthusiasm for reading by bringing them to the library to read to one of our AKC Good Citizen dogs. These dogs love to listen! Sign-up for a 15-minute time slot. This program is best-suited for children ages 5 and up. It is open to children of all abilities and takes place every second Monday of the month.

Family Movie Nights

Enjoy a FREE family-friendly feature film at the Library! Kick back and relax in our Story Theater, every second Tuesday of the month. Check the calendar to see what’s playing.

Special Programs

Keep an eye on our calendar and Facebook page or sign up for our newsletter to find out when we offer special library programs such as Seuss Storytime, STEAM programs, Stackhouse Storytime, Holiday and Special Event programs, Service Dog Storytime, Pop-up Storytime and more!

SummerQuest

SummerQuest for children is an engaging and fun way to fit in reading and learning over the summer for kids 0-12 years old.
