Planetarium Visit at Patton Public Library
March 16 @ 5:00 PM
There will be a planetarium at Patton Public Library on Thursday evening, 3/16 with shows at 5:00 and 5:40 PM. The show opens with the first era of space exploration in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The Planetarium visit coincides with the Earth to Moon exhibit visiting the library. Earth to Moon is a NASA-funded exhibit built by faculty, staff, and students at Saint Francis University and will be at the library from March 15th to April 8th. This portable, mobile museum enables local youth and their families to learn about and experience the mysteries of space.
The exhibit consists of a futuristic panoramic display of Earth and the Milky Way as viewed from the surface of the moon, a 3D-printed Moonscape of the Apollo 17 mission landing site, lunar meteorites, simulants of regolith (broken rock and dust), lunar images and other learning materials.
