The EQ Crew for Teens
February 1 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Join us on Wednesdays beginning January 18 in the library’s first floor Teenspace and learn skills to raise your Emotional Quotient (EQ).
Facilitated by Carrie Curry of The Learning Lamp, The EQ Crew focuses on teen-appropriate skills to raise one’s emotional quotient (EQ). EQ signifies emotional intelligence: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Teens will be encouraged to connect with others and learn more about resiliency, self-awareness, and future planning, among other topics.
The library will provide healthy and fun snacks, supported in part by the City of Johnstown’s American Rescue Plan Act funding.
The EQ Crew program is free to attend and open to those ages 13-19. Preregistration is required for all attendees, including parental consent for attendees under 18 years of age.
Sign up by January 11 using the registration form at https://bit.ly/EQcrew.
The EQ Crew, which utilizes The Blues Program curriculum led by Master’s-Level Certified Facilitators from The Learning Lamp, is made possible with funding from Cambria County Drug & Alcohol Program.
