Local History: Meadowcroft Rockshelter

January 17 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Dig into archaeological evidence that reveals the earliest signs of human habitation in North America.

The Meadowcroft Rockshelter National Historic Landmark–naturally formed by the waters of Cross Creek–served as a campsite for prehistoric hunters and gatherers 19,000 years ago. Discover more about this important archeological treasure when Sarah Kizina from the Heinz History Center joins us virtually with a presentation.

You can join us in the library’s Community Room to watch the presentation, or click below to watch from home on your computer or device using GoToMeeting.
