The Cambria County Library System offers a wealth of digital resources available for free to library system cardholders. Click on any of the following resources to explore available content. Many of these databases are purchased by the library to enable free access for our users. As a result, you may need to enter your library card number in order to fully access each service.

Discover the most accurate, authoritative and up-to-date service and repair information for thousands of domestic and imported vehicles with Auto Repair Source. All content comes from the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and includes step-by-step repair information, diagrams, maintenance schedules, parts and labor estimates, service bulletins and recalls.

Black Freedom Struggle: Primary Resources

Black Freedom Struggle resource is provided at no cost to the POWER Library by ProQuest. Black Freedom Struggle features select primary source documents related to critical people and events in African American history

Bluebird Languages

Learn 163 languages with 12 million interactive audio lessons with Bluebird. Lessons can be customized by occupation, age and lesson duration, and more. Use institutional code “CCLS” when creating an account.

Britannica School PreK - 5th

Britannica School PreK – 5th is a comprehensive source of informational text for younger learners pre-K to grade 5. It includes encyclopedia articles, images, videos, and magazine articles.

MyHeritage Library Edition

MyHeritage is a multilingual family history research database includes billions of historical documents from 48 countries, millions of historical photos, public records, indexes, and additional resources that span the past five centuries.

Pennsylvania CareerLink Cambria County -

PA CareerLink Cambria County offers comprehensive services for job seekers. They hold a physical location within the Cambria County Library in Johnstown and also partner with other system member libraries throughout the county. You do not need to have a library card to take advantage of the multiple career services offered by the PA CareerLink.

Pennsylvania DOT Permit Practice Test

Access a free collection of Pennsylvania Driver Permit practice tests for cars, motorcycles and commercial drivers (CDL), along with driver’s handbooks and a senior citizens’ refresher test. The practice tests offer questions about fines, limits, regulations, road signs and more, with hints and detailed explanations. You’ll also find helpful information about applying for a PA license, visiting your local DMV and how to renew your PA license.

PA Photos and Docs

PA Photos & Documents is a statewide digitization service that enables the storage and retrieval of digitized collections created by libraries and other organizations throughout Pennsylvania. The primary focus is historic, cultural, and other collections of interest to the citizens of Pennsylvania.

POWER Kids & Power Teens

POWER Kids and POWER Teens portals are also available with age-appropriate resources including books, movies and research documents.

POWER Library is the online portal to a statewide database of library catalogs and digital collections. You’ll find answers to questions about healthcare, consumer purchases, personal finances and much more. Enjoy 24/7 access to newspapers, magazines, journals, historical documents and more.
