Beginning Friday, April 25, our third floor will temporarily close to the public as crews begin a flooring replacement project. The work is estimated to take approximately three weeks. We’ll announce a reopening date for the third floor as the project nears completion.
Third floor resources and services, including public computer use, printing, copying and limited reference service will be temporarily relocated to our first floor computer lab. The lab will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended evening hours available on Wednesday and Thursday until 8 p.m. Reference Department staff will be available in the lab for assistance during these modified hours.
Do you need a book from the third floor? We’ll help you! Place a book hold online and our staff will process your request (please allow 1-2 business days). Reference staff can be reached by phone at (814) 536-5131 extension 210 during the lab’s hours. They’ll also monitor this dedicated line to respond to messages and inquiries left outside the lab’s hours.
All other library services and scheduled programs will follow regular business hours.
We’ll post progress updates below (and on Facebook) to let you know when the third floor is ready to reopen. We appreciate your patience and look forward to welcoming you back to see the fresh, new changes upstairs!
