Our technology administrator provides and maintains a stable and reliable distributed computing environment by identifying system and network requirements, installing systems/upgrades, and monitoring system and network performance. The position requires the ability to provide innovative, timely, reliable, and secure technology services and support; to provide business value through understanding, knowledge, communication, agility, and a strong customer focus; and to provide outstanding customer service to all end users.

Job Duties Overview
1. IT Systems, Security, and Infrastructure Management
Oversee the library’s technology environment by managing email and user accounts, software licensing, servers, networks, security tools, and system configurations. The Technology Administrator also maintains business continuity, disaster recovery, and secure computing practices.
2. User Support, Communication, and Documentation
Provides timely technical support for staff and end users, resolves issues, coordinates with vendors, communicates with leadership about problems and escalations, delivers training, and ensures procedures, configurations, and support activities are well documented.
3. Strategic Planning and Improvement
Supports long-term technology planning by assisting with the Executive Director in the development of an annual operating budget, change management, evaluating new solutions, researching modern technologies, improving efficiency, maintaining policies, and continuing professional development.

Education, Training, and Experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with at least two (2) years’ experience supporting a PC/LAN environment.
Required: Associate’s degree in an IT-related field and at least four (4) years’ experience supporting a PC/LAN environment. Preferred technical network-related certification, such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCT or CCNA.
