Noelle Fenwick is not afraid to chase after her dreams.

After spending a college semester in New York City interning at The Sunrise Show, Noelle makes a promise to herself: she will return back there again someday to work “for real.” She’ll be the show’s morning anchor. She’ll be nationally recognized. She’ll achieve her lifelong dream. Instead of fetching coffee for others, people will be getting it for her.

But once Noelle moves back to her hometown — to begin her very first job in broadcast journalism — the low wages and unsafe conditions that come with being a news reporter make her question the road ahead. What’s more important in a job: the passion or the paycheck? Should she start searching for a career that could provide her with both?
