Visit us for an afternoon snack!

The Cambria County Library has launched an after-school snack program that will provide free, healthy snacks to youth of all ages. Snacks will be available every Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the library’s second floor Story Theater. On Thursdays, the library will also offer a snack bag for the weekend. The program is supported by the City of Johnstown’s American Rescue Plan Act funding.

To coincide with the snack program, the Children’s Department will offer a daily activity for children to take part in before or after having a snack:

  • Mondays: Book Club, featuring a new selection of staff picks each week
  • Tuesdays: Crafting fun for all ages
  • Wednesdays: LEGO Club (Duplo blocks are available for children under age 6)
  • Thursdays: STEAM Time, featuring activities with a focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math

Teens are invited to stop by the Children’s Department for a snack, then visit our dedicated Teenspace and its resources on the first floor of the library.

Funding for our afternoon snack program is provided through the City of Johnstown American Rescue Plan.
