It’s been a long winter and now that spring is here, maybe you’re ready to dive into a whole new (fantasy) world! We’ve recently reorganized our young adult series collection, and we have lots of fresh new titles for teen and adult readers to try. Here are some of our favorites:

Chaos Walking Trilogy
by Patrick Ness

This award-winning science fiction series is set in a world where where all living creatures can hear each other’s thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise. Eerie, dystopian, and powerful. Check out the movie adaption of the first book!

Ember in the Ashes Series
by Sabaa Tahir

In this ancient fantasy world where a teenage girl is fighting to save her brother from prison, a soldier battles to free himself from the regime. In 2020, Time Magazine listed the first two books in the series among their 100 best fantasy books of all time.

Caraval Trilogy
by Stephanie Garber

Enter a world of magic, romance and mystery as two sisters get swept up in an intriguing and perhaps dangerous game.

Shadow and Bone Series
by Leah Bardugo

If you haven’t started this series yet, now might be the time. With a Netflix adaption of the first book, Shadow and Bone and her latest title, Rule of Wolves available now, this rich series tells tales of fantasy, magic, and a vivid, exotic world that will draw you in and keep you captivated.

This is just a small taste of all the great young adult series we have to offer in the 1st floor teenspace. Drop by to browse, or email our teen/Reference librarian Joyce at homanj@cclsys.org if you’d like more suggestions!
