Support Cresson Public Library with Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends: We have partnered with the Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends initiative. For a $5 donation to the library, you’ll receive a valuable 25% off Boscov’s Shopping Pass for October 18. Passes are available at the library. 

Meet Our Director on Fox 8 News Now – September 14: Mark your calendars for September 14 at noon and 10:35pm as our Library Director, Bronwyn Katdaré, takes the spotlight. She’ll be sharing insights about her business and the books she’s written. Keep an eye out for her appearance on the Money Monday segment, too, where she’ll dive into the financial benefits of having a library card and the changing role of libraries in the community.  

Upcoming Events

Children’s Book Sale -September 18-23: These books need a new home! This is a great opportunity for teachers to purchase books that are in great condition for their classrooms or for caretakers to build your child’s book collection.  

Veteran’s Benefits Talk – September 27: Join us on September 27, 1:00, for a discussion led by Philip Rice, the Director of Cambria County Veteran’s Affairs. Discover the selection of benefits available to our esteemed veterans. 

Children’s Book Author Signing – October 4: Get ready for a fantastic evening on October 4, 5:30-7:30. Our Library Director, Bronwyn Katdaré, will be reading an excerpt from her heartwarming book, “Caldwell Crow and the Shimmering Nest.” Paperback and hardback copies of this 5-Star Reviewed book will be available for purchase or you can bring your own copy for signing (available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.com). A portion of the proceeds will be generously donated to the library. 

Fall Silent Auction – Stay Tuned: This Fall, we’re excited to be hosting a silent auction and we need your help! We’re seeking contributions from local businesses to make this event a success. For information on how your business can participate, please contact the library at 814-886-2619. 

Story Time with Mount Aloysius College – Coming Soon: Our beloved Story Time is making a return this Fall, thanks to our new partnership with Mount Aloysius College. The date will be determined, so stay tuned for more details.
