Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math…oh, my! Stop by the Children’s Department every Thursday for a fun STEAM activity, available anytime between 4 and 6 p.m.
On Thursday, August 10, we’ll welcome special guests! Students from Franklin Regional School District will showcase their model of the North Fork Dam. Their model won First Place in this year’s National Association of State Dam Safety Officials Dam Model Competition!
The team’s model shows the North Fork Dam at its current state and capacity. They are also modeling a major change planned for the Dam involving RCCs (roller compacted concrete). In the current state, the dam is considered high hazard!
The team will talk about their work, read a book and have activities.
