WE DELETED FINES!

We’re excited to announce library fines have been deleted for many library users across Cambria County. Many of the member libraries in the Cambria County Library System stopped charging fines in June, 2025. Deleting old fines from these libraries was an important step to make libraries available for everyone.

Library services help create a skilled workforce, build generations of readers, and so much more. Without fines, more people can access the library and enjoy books, free internet and computer access, and digital resources like cloudLibrary and ABCMouse.

Some Exceptions Apply

Electronic devices, ukuleles, and other unique collections continue to generate overdue fines, and fines will not be removed for these items.

Charges for lost or damaged items must still be paid.

Overdue fine policies on standard collections remain in place at Cresson Public Library and Portage Public Library. Fines generated on items at these libraries will not be deleted.
