Donna Ridgeley
President
Donna received her Biology degree from Clarion University and her Secondary Education Certification from Saint Francis University. She is also a member of the IU8 Reading Competition Committee. Whether eagerly awaiting the bookmobile as a child, shelving collections in her college work study position in Carlson Library, or mentoring high schoolers as their Reading Competition advisor, books have been a constant and vital part of her life. Donna is proud to serve on the Library Board of Trustees, as we strive to encourage and support lifelong learning through our many programs and services.
Susie Huber
Vice President
Susie received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education/Communications from the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. She is a retired Laboratory Technician who has enjoyed having an active part in helping the library grow with new programs and activities. Susie believes that our library is a vital part of the community and as a devoted reader she enjoys encouraging others to read.
Lisa Clossin
Treasurer
Lisa received her Master of Arts in Teaching from John Hopkins University. As a former pre-school teacher and currently a stay-at-home mom, she enjoys children’s and non-fiction books. The library has always been a place Lisa loved as a child and now enjoys visiting with her daughter.
Janet Duman Michkofsky
Secretary
Janet received her degree from the Montifiore Hospital School of Radiology. She has been a trustee on the board of the Ebensburg Cambria Public Library for over ten years. Janet has enjoyed taking part in the ever evolving role that the library plays on our community. Through reading, community and online services, and children’s programming, the library has played an integral part in her life and the lives of our patrons.
Michele Digon
Trustee
Michele is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown and has worked in preschool settings throughout her career. Having recently moved back to the area after 26 years, she feels honored to be able to encourage her great love of reading with others. She has many fond memories of her mom bringing her to the Ebensburg library as a child and looks forward to being able to help promote programs that draw audiences of all ages to the wonderful library we have here.
Mary Letterman
Trustee
Mary is proud to be a newly elected board member. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music and has taught private piano lessons in the community for twenty plus years. She loves playing music, reading, vacationing with her children and walking/hiking with her dogs.
Kate Remillard
Trustee
Kate holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master’s in Mathematics Education, and she has devoted her career to supporting mathematics teacher education. As a lifelong educator and avid reader, she values the critical role that community libraries play as public institutions. Kate and her husband, Art, live in Ebensburg, where they enjoy running and raising their two children.
Nicole Falchini Oravec
Trustee
Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. As a mother of two grade school-aged children and an avid library visitor, Nicole understands the importance of passing on the joy of reading onto the next generation. She also loves that libraries are more than a place to get books, but also offers various free programs. As a new board member, Nicole helps to help foster old programs and think of new ways the library can reach people of all ages.
Philip Sutton
Trustee
Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Penn State. Now retired, in his most recent career he was a self-employed electrical contractor. He is a strong believer in community service, and has been a member of Rotary for over 30 years. As an avid reader and a longtime resident of the Ebensburg area Phil has seen the vital role that the library plays in maintaining a vibrant and healthy community. Since joining the board, he has learned that the variety of programs and services provided by this great institution is even more impressive than he realized. He is proud to be able to help continue that mission.
