Join us for two special workshops—one for children and one for teens—to learn about the art of haiku and write your very own poems.

Teen Workshop with Denise Urban
7th-12th Grade
Teen Space (1st floor)
Denise is the owner of The Write Cup Coffee Shop and Studio U, two local businesses that encourage and support writers

Some of these poems will be turned into stencils and decals for sidewalk installations around Johnstown! The poems will be stenciled using invisible spray that appears like magic when wet. How cool?!

Everyone’s haiku will be published in a book that will be handed out at the end of the project. We will also have a community reveal celebration where children and teens will have the opportunity to read their poems.

All attendees will receive a gift card for one FREE specialty drink at the Write Cup. There will even be a special Rain Poetry drink available at the Write Cup on the day of the program!
