Nanty Glo Public Library’s History
Nanty Glo Public Library was founded in 1962 and is a member of the Cambria County Library System. A two-story structure located on Roberts Street was purchased in 1985 and remodeled, with the library utilizing approximately 5,000 square feet on the first floor for the main stacks, magazine room, children’s room, reading areas, restroom and office area. The library serves an area of approximately 45 square miles and a population of more than 12,000. Students and adults from three public school districts and three parochial schools utilize library services. The library is also used for club meetings and other community services.
