Getting Involved

Volunteer at the Beaverdale Public Library

The Beaverdale Public Library welcomes volunteers to help with different tasks, including assisting with or providing storytime and Summerquest programs. Volunteers are also needed to help with library operations, including shelving books, cleaning, and other tasks as needed.

Volunteers should reach out to the Beaverdale Public Library director to discuss how to help the library.

All volunteers aged 18 and older will be required to complete PATCH and Child Abuse History Clearance background checks. These clearances are free to volunteers and can be completed on the PATCH Website and the PA Child Welfare Website. In some cases, volunteers may not need to obtain federal background checks that require fingerprinting.

Donating Items to the Beaverdale Public Library

The Beaverdale Public Library welcomes donations from the public, with a few limitations. The Beaverdale Public Library will accept books, dvds, and other media that are in a clean undamaged state. Items cannot be torn or have mildew, stains, or other forms of damage. The Beaverdale Public Library cannot accept dictionaries, textbooks, or encyclopedias. Items must be donated directly to the library, and cannot be dropped off outside of library hours.

Donating Items to the Beaverdale Public Library Basket Party

The Beaverdale Public Library accepts items for the biennial basket party throughout the year. Items must be in new condition. Cash and gift cards are also accepted. Please see the library for additional information.

Donating baked goods to the Election Day Bake Sale

Baked goods are accepted for the Election Day Bake Sales held twice a year. The library requests items to be individually wrapped when possible. Donations are accepted the day before, and the day of the event.
